The “Music Meets Science” event has a long history at CBMI and we are pleased to welcome and host the event at CBMI 2024 in Reykjavik Iceland. This year two members of the Odyssée quartet, François Pineau-Benois and Raphael Charles Moraly will perform a selection of classical works for violin and cello.
The event will be on Wednesday September 18th at 15:00. The venue is room V101 in Reykjavik University.
The Music Meets Science was started by François Pineau-Benois after after his discussions with young researchers in Multimedia. The goals of the event are:
- to bridge scientific world in digital technologies with the classical musicians;
- to bring live concerts to this audience via social events at the conferences;
- to unite musicians from different countries when possible for live music interpretation for an international research community.
This event would not be possible if not for the support of ACM SIGMM and we are ever so grateful to them for their support.
